Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. she is currently president and controlling shareholder of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. Buss comes from California, was raised in an exceptionally wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was an entrepreneur in real estate who later owned the Lakers along with several other companies in the field of sports. After her parents divorced in 1972 and she started to feel as if she was abandoned. At the age of 19, she was employed for the family's business. In the following years, she created the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She held the position of president of Great Western Forum prior to becoming the vice-president of Lakers. Her father passed away in 2013, and his control over control for the Lakers was transferred to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust that gave each sibling equal voting rights. In 2013, she took charge of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss also owns Women of Wrestling, a professional promotion of wrestling with its the headquarters located at Los Angeles.
