Jill AND Mary

Jillian Noel Shennessy, born 25th November, 1968, in Canada is a Canadian performer and actress that was recognized for her significant contributions for American television. The show has been highly praised for her exceptional performances in the American television show Law & Order in which she played Claire Kincaid as a prosecutor for three seasons. She also appeared on Crossing Jordan, wherein she was Jordan Cavanaugh the main character over a period of six years. Hennessy is also known for her stellar performances on RoboCop 3 Most Wanted. Other films comprise Chutney Popcorn (an independent film) and The Acting Class. Hennessy began her career in 1988, alongside her sister, as twin call girls in Dead Ringers. She briefly appeared in Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story at Broadway in 1990. It was 1993 when the actress stepped out of the world of musicals to enter the science-fiction genre, playing the character Dr. Marie Lazarus. Her big break was later in the year, when she joined the ensemble of the cult NBC crime show Law & Order as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid. Parker was also awarded an award called the Tony Award for Best Actress 2001 for her performance in the Broadway show Proof.
