John Denver, a singer-songwriter born in Colorado who specialized in folk-pop music that was a hit with millions of fans. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born in Roswell in New Mexico. He was enthralled by Colorado and settled down in Aspen. Denver's state anthems are a hit and have attracted many newcomers to Colorado. G.
